I have made reasonable progress on my pentatonic scale, able to go up and down the scale more easily now, and starting to play with the octaves aswell. I am stil trying to find away to incoporate it into proper playing rather then personal practise, guess i shoudl play along to more songs and try to look out for the scales in them.

As a form of conclusion for this project, i have learnt not to give up too easily, and that every little bit of practise counts. Hopefuly i will still countinue to play my guitar after this.
This week i was getitng rather sick of learning the guitar, on-top of the added workload of projects and tests, i decided to seach on youtube for some inspiration and i stumbled on this amazing jazz guitarist by the name of tuck andress (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtljYur4_T8). While i may never be as good as him, i am sure he has facee all the troubles i have while he was learning the guitar, and he has managed to overcome it and be such an amazing player. This certainly encourages me to countinue pressing on, not alot, but bit by bit i become more proficient.
Have been practising my pentatonic scale. The scale has a very blusey sounding feel to it and i kind of like it, might go and check out more blues music. It seems to have more "emotion" in its music as compared to all the pop music around these days. The scale is rather hard on the fingers though, and i am also trying to incoporate the vibrato as despribed in an earlier post.
managed to get new gutar strings from yamaha at tampines on the way back, and realised that i did not know how to restring the guitar!, managed to find some websites to help me, hopefuly i will not hurt myself(or my guitar) while doing it.

Tragedy!!

Title says it all, guitar strings snapped, will have to buy a new set on the way back from school sometime this week.
After much messing aroudn on my guitar, my fingers are starting to hurt less (yay!), and i am getting more comfortable with the instrument. I am also experimenting with a technique called vibrato (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXDOvbGpIbE the opening track is abit disturbing). Ii is not easy at all and is also quite tiring on the fingers at the moment and i keep killing the sound because of bad finger placement, but hopefuly i will get it after some practise.
I have been sourcing out useful youtube videos on how to learn the guitar. Here are some of the more useful ones, enjoy.
