Have been practising my pentatonic scale. The scale has a very blusey sounding feel to it and i kind of like it, might go and check out more blues music. It seems to have more "emotion" in its music as compared to all the pop music around these days. The scale is rather hard on the fingers though, and i am also trying to incoporate the vibrato as despribed in an earlier post.

Tragedy!!
Title says it all, guitar strings snapped, will have to buy a new set on the way back from school sometime this week.
After much messing aroudn on my guitar, my fingers are starting to hurt less (yay!), and i am getting more comfortable with the instrument. I am also experimenting with a technique called vibrato (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXDOvbGpIbE the opening track is abit disturbing). Ii is not easy at all and is also quite tiring on the fingers at the moment and i keep killing the sound because of bad finger placement, but hopefuly i will get it after some practise.
Another week has passed, and a few difficulties have reared their ugly heads attempting to block progress on my guitar, namely school work. But i have managed to squeeze out a couple hours of practise. As a side note, as i play two instruments (bass, guitar) i find their techniques to sometimes clash, quite violently. I will have to find a way around that
This week i admitedly did not spend too much time on my guitar, and started messing around with my bass more often. I have not totally forgot about my guitar though!! But i need to find a balance between the two instruments without neglecting either one too much or they will get angry and start to rust on me.
